Buhrs, a producer of mailing and fulfillment solutions, has announced its intention to enter the market for FSI collating and wrapping systems for the newspaper industry. Buhrs has appointed Don Piontek, of Finishing Resources, to develop its presence in the market.

Jack Miller, founder and president, is a long-time sales and marketing executive in the printing paper, business paper and packaging business, most recently serving as director of market intelligence for Domtar.
X-Rite has named Scott Bowman as category director for the graphic arts business. In this role, Bowman will be responsible for the global strategic direction for all areas of the business. Prior to joining X-Rite, Bowman was with Siebel Systems.
Sun Chemical has appointed Rick Joyce vice president, technology, North American inks. Joyce formerly worked at General Electric Plastics. The company also announced that John Rooney has become executive director, technology planning and special projects.
