Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses has made two key personnel changes. Ken Kodama has been appointed vice president of sheetfed sales. The company also announced the promotion of Randy Siver to the newly created position of director of marketing and technical sales.
Kodak Polychrome Graphics' (KPG) plate production facilities in Columbus, GA, and Windsor, CO, recently achieved ISO 9001 re-certification. The two plants manufacture thermal and conventional printing plates for customers in North and South America. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) updated the standards for certification of a Quality Management System in 2000. This new standard broadens the scope of the quality system to include a new emphasis on effective training, preventative actions and continual improvement.
Todd Cunningham has joined the outside sales staff of Roosevelt Paper. He now works out of the Richwood, KY, plant servicing the states of Georgia, Alabama and East Tennessee.
Nextier Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of International Paper, has appointed Steve Bernhardt to the role of business manager. Bernhardt has held a number of sales, marketing and supply chain positions in his 16-year career in the paper business.
Tensor Group has announced the addition of 11 new employees for the Woodridge, IL, plant. Five of the 11 positions are based in the headquarters' front office and the additional six positions are based in the production plant. They include: Mike McClish, plant manager; Raymond Godbout, controller; Carl Norbut, project engineer; Julie Lavoie, I.T. manager and contract manager; Karin Jaskiewicz, sales and marketing administrator. The plant assembly and production group recently welcomed five craftsmen to its team: David Budz, Manuel Camargo, Ryszard Kogut, Nick Wurinaris and Bogdan Zaremba. Joyce Feret supports production in her role as shipping and receiving coordinator.
Enovation Graphic Systems has signed an agreement with Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) to resell ICS's Remote Director soft proofing system and its Press Check option in the graphic arts market.
Diamond Holding Corp. has promoted Greg Anderson to the position of vice president, sales and marketing, for its Diamond Roller division. Anderson will now be responsible for Diamond Roller's sales efforts in the United States, as well as international marketing efforts.
Handschy Industries has named Kevin Yeazell as president. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the graphic arts industry. Before joining Handschy, Yeazell was vice president of sales and marketing at INX International Ink. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for the commercial group at Flint Ink.
Dauphin Graphic Machines announced that John Manning has been appointed as exclusive sales agent. Manning will oversee 14 states stretching from Arkansas to the Pacific Northwest and four provinces in Canada. Manning's new position with DGM will be the centerpiece of his new business, World Wide Web. Manning comes to DGM with more than 20 years of printing industry experience. He most recently served as general manager for MAN Roland.
Ink-jet printer manufacturer Domino has announced the appointment of David Ellen as director of commercial printing sales in North America. He will also maintain his current, global role as director of the commercial printing strategic business unit (SBU) and remain a member of the Domino Group management board.

Standard Finishing Systems was named by Xerox Corp. as its 2003 Reseller "Finishing Partner of the Year." The award, presented for 2003 sales and quality achievements, recognizes the contribution of Xerox partners to the Xerox production systems business.
Bindery Systems & Services (BS&S) is a new company created to service the finishing industry. It offers new, late- model and reconditioned equipment solutions and installation and training. Founded by Volker Petzold, Len Rivett, Ron Crabbe and Ed Hines, BS&S will specialize in reconditioning Kolbus, Muller Martini and Heidelberg finishing equipment.
Ursula Stevens, the leader and primary force in building Sun Chemical's Latin America business, passed away on January 17. She was 65. Ms. Stevens, who retired in December 2002, dedicated 36 years of service to Sun Chemical. She served as corporate vice president and general manager, Sun Chemical Latin America.
InkJet Inc., a supplier of inks and replacement parts to the coding and marking industry, has unveiled its new Customer Service Center. Doubling the size of its previous manufacturing facility in Willis, TX, InkJet added a 12,800-square-foot wing featuring a new training center, testing lab, parts department, customer service area and expanded warehouse space.
