Enovation Graphic Systems announced it has integrated Fuji Photo Film U.S.A.'s Graphic Systems Division into Enovation's current organization. In other news, Enovation has appointed regional sales vice presidents for its four recently realigned sales territories. Tim Young, formerly president of Nelson-Keystone and recently announced as southwest regional director for Enovation, is now regional sales vice president, West. The West sales region includes 10 western states. John Solwold, formerly Enovation's west regional vice president, is responsible for the new Central sales region. The Central sales region includes 11 central and mountain states. Joe Thornhill, formerly president of Taylor Impression, is now regional sales vice president for the new South sales region. The South sales region includes 12 southern states. Jim Purcell, formerly Enovation's midwest regional vice president, is now responsible for the new East sales region. The East sales region includes 13 eastern states and the District of Columbia.
Spiel Associates reports that its Sterling Coilmaster II binding system has received a patent, making it the only patented in-line coilformer/binder in the United States.
MacDermid Printing Solutions announced that it has completed its search for a new European manufacturing facility to produce printing plates for the newspaper market. The facility, which will manufacture flexographic printing plates for the European markets, will be located in Wigan, in Northern England, at an existing MacDermid site. In other company news, Pat Janssen has returned to MacDermid as vice president and general manager of the packaging division.
RDP Marathon has appointed Geoffrey Symanek as southern region sales manager. Located in Florida, he now promotes RDP's variable-size perfecting and non-perfecting web presses to printers based in the southern United States.
Rena Systems announced that Michael Newcome has been named the company's 2002 Regional Manager of the Year. Newcome, central region manager, joined the company five years ago. Also, the manufacturer of Rena Systems' product line, Rena Informationstechnik—based in Oberhaching, Germany—has been awarded ISO 9001 certification.
International Paper has made a number of personnel changes. Fred Towler was promoted to business manager for Commercial Printing & Imaging Papers, replacing Kevin Pearce, who has been named director of strategic planning for Printing & Communications Papers. Charles Greiner has assumed the position of senior vice president, Commercial Development, Printing Papers. Paul Herbert has been named senior vice president, Printing & Communications Papers. Thomas Kadien is now president of International Paper, Europe. Greg Gibson has been named vice president and general manager, Commercial Printing & Imaging Papers. Jon Ernst serves as business manager, Home & Office Papers. Finally, Tom Hamic has been named business manager, Specialty Papers.
William Tasker has joined Wikoff Color as director of special projects and business development. He is based out of Fort Mill, SC.
Pasquariello Graphics is now the exclusive distributor for Brandtjen & Kluge folding and gluing systems in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Connecticut.
Komori America announced that K-North Inc., of Mississauga, ON, is a new Komori dealer in Canada. K-North now services the Ontario and Western Canadian markets.
Consumables supplier Base-Line has announced two appointments. Anne Logman has been named operations manager and Yara Lalonde has been promoted to customer support supervisor.
KBA North America, Sheetfed Div., has named Michael Mugavero as its product manager for the eastern region and district sales manager for the metro New York region. Mugavero's territory includes northern New Jersey, metro New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley.
Stora Enso North America was recently selected by xpedx's TriState Group as "Mill of the Year." xpedx is the largest merchant distributor of Stora Enso's papers in North America. Several Stora Enso mills supply paper to the TriState Group. The TriState Group of xpedx covers Indiana, Kentucky and most of Ohio. Derrick Williams, senior account manager, and Andy Omark, central regional manager, received the award on behalf of Stora Enso North America.
William Kochanny has been hired by Buskro USA as regional sales manager for the Midwest region. He formerly has held positions with Scitex Digital Printing, Domino Amjet and Zebra Technologies.

Ray Roper, retired president of Printing Industries of America (PIA), and his wife Judy have opened a business offering consulting and additional services to graphic arts companies. The firm, Roper & Roper, is in Alexandria, VA.
Lloyd Kent has been appointed to the position of regional sales manager, folding carton equipment, Southern territory, for Bobst USA. Most recently he handled the Southwest territory for Bobst corrugated and folding carton products.
