Konica Minolta has acquired a 10 percent minority stake in MGI. This strategic alliance leverages co-development and co-marketing of the two companies' existing and future products. Paris-based MGI remains independent and autonomous.

Canon Solutions America has opened a new media lab in Boca Raton, FL, designed for live testing across inkjet- and toner-based products. Product teams can now simultaneously test several different types of ink and media. It is the first of its kind in North America, and complements the company's existing labs in Poing, Germany, and Venlo, the Netherlands.

Baldwin Technology has acquired Web Printing Controls (WPC), a manufacturer of real-time closed loop automation equipment, primarily for the web offset printing industry. The acquisition will expand Baldwin's product offerings and enable it to provide aftermarket service to a large installed base of WPC equipment users.
