Tap Packaging Reveals HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press Install in New Time Lapse Video
CLEVELAND—December 10, 2014—Tap Packaging Solutions released a new time lapse video that highlights the installation of its HP Indigo 30000 in a newly constructed Tech Center at its manufacturing plant based here.
The time lapse video highlights the three week construction of the 3,000-square-foot Tech Center, as well as the three week installation of the HP Indigo 30000, its in-line priming unit and in-line TRESU coating unit. Combined, these three major components of this press weigh more than 30,000 pounds and measure over 80 feet long. Today, Tap is in the final stages of ramp up, with full production scheduled for early 2015.

Tap is one of the first companies in the world to install the HP Indigo 30000, the first digital press designed specifically for folding cartons. With the purchase of this press, Tap will be able to provide personalization, innovation and new possibilities in folding carton design.
Of the Indigo 30000’s many unique features, notably the most beneficial to end users are its in-line primer, TRESU coater and 29x20" format. The in-line primer enables the press to print on nearly any off-the-shelf substrate, including plastic, metalized board, and recycled board—from 8-pt to 24 pt. The TRESU coater, also in-line, allows each sheet to be coated with a full flood or spot UV or Aqueous coating. And, at 29" wide, the widest of the Indigo presses, the Indigo 30000 can print nearly all folding carton applications.
