LONDON—March 28, 2014—Technotrans, a leading provider of graphic arts cooling systems, announced a European partnership with Air Motion Systems | AMS UV, designed to accelerate the adoption of LED UV-based energy curing systems in the sheetfed offset, web offset, narrow web flexographic and digital print markets.
"This partnership comes at an important time in the rapidly accelerating transition to LED UV drying, which is gaining fast acceptance around the world," said Peter Boecker, sales director of Technotrans AG. "We are thrilled to be working closely with AMS, the market leader in this new field for larger-format, higher speed LED UV curing systems."
The partnership was formally announced at the IPEX 2014 global graphic arts show at ExCeL in London, and coincides with Technotrans supplying the biggest ever LED UV chiller to a major machine maker in conjunction with AMS.
"High-powered LED UV from AMS is the first drying technology capable of nearly 100 percent heat removal from the printing process, which brings a myriad of benefits to web and sheetfed production," remarked Steve Metcalf, CEO of Air Motion Systems | AMS UV. "As the global leader in the graphic arts cooling field, Technotrans brings a wealth of welcome technical expertise along with a scalable product lineup and the support to meet the demands of LED drying at the highest level of system performance and quality."
As part of the announcement, AMS will be providing LED-optimized Technotrans digi.chiller cooling units as a standard option for all European XP5 and XP7 Series PEAK LED UV drying systems for the sheetfed and web markets.
