At Printing United 2023 in Atlanta from October 18-20, Tecnau and Kompac are pleased to collaborate together on a finishing line for those doing color digital printing of B2/B2+ sheets. In this first-time exhibition in Tecnau booth B2806, Kompac’s Phoenix 20 S coater flood coats and feeds B2+ sheets pre-printed by the HP Indigo 100K Digital Press to Tecnau’s Stack 1212 cut and stack system. The printed sheets are printed with a 9-up 6 x 9 postcard imposition or alternatively with an 18-up 4 x 6 imposition – the 1212 cross cuts, removes gutters and side trims, and presents finished postcards stacked on the exit conveyor. This partnership between Tecnau and Kompac now makes it possible for users to print, coat, and cut in a single pass with no substrate manual handling.
Stack 1212 allows users to process sheets in efficient multiple-up impositions without further offline finishing. The system features uni-directional sheet handling, guaranteeing highly accurate cutting as well as a relatively small footprint. Stack 1212 is a production-level system with right-sized automation, offering cut/slit cartridges for easy job changeover, making this a cost-effective solution for customers.
The Phoenix 20 UV and AQ flood coating unit allows maximum productivity with minimum downtime. Boasting numerous patented innovations, Kompac prides itself on a compact yet robust footprint designed for both efficiency and longevity. Innovative technology and American production make the Phoenix the most cost-effective coater with the highest quality output. Phoenix systems are the first to market with IOTech4 Industry 4.0, a platform that focuses on interconnectivity, automation, machine learning, and real-time data. The modular design concept makes the machine especially customizable and capable of growing as the customers’ coating business grows.
“Both Tecnau and Kompac take a full business approach to the market, which translates to a service-first culture we are proud to be a part of,” said Sabrina Reed, Director of Sales and Marketing for Kompac. “We are excited to see this joint venture optimize workflow, reduce costs, and maximize the overall return on investment for press users. We look forward to many years of a fruitful and innovative partnership that places the customer’s productivity as priority one.”
“Tecnau is delighted to participate in this joint exhibition with Kompac,” said Scott Peterson, product marketing manager for Tecnau. “The integration of these two products offers customers a highly productive finishing solution, reducing labor requirements and giving them an opportunity to make the most of their B2 press investment.”
