CHICAGO - September 11, 2017 - In a demonstration of its long-standing commitment to partnering with industry-leading providers of digital printing systems, Tecnau is exhibiting its innovative feeding and finishing solutions in Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Screen, and Xerox booths, as well its own booth, at the PRINT 17 exhibition in Chicago.
In Tecnau booth #861, Tecnau is showing two lines, a Stack 2325 cut/stack system and a Roll 9 roll-to-roll system with WebVision EXspect and TC 1550 HS 2P dynamic perforating and punching processor. Stack 2325 features Tecnau’s newly launched Stacker s25, as well as the double-cutting Cutter c23. Stacker s25 incorporates a friction-free “gripper” technology (patent pending) to grip sheeted output gently and bring it quickly to a controlled stop, avoiding damage to high-coverage graphic arts and direct mail applications. Stacker s25 also offers compatibility with a broad range of paper basis weights, from 40 to 300 gsm. Cutter c23 provides double-cutting for removal of flush-lines (as well as processing of bleeds) as required for today’s high-speed color inkjet printers.
The Roll 9 system in Tecnau’s booth features the recently introduced Unwinder u9 and Rewinder r9which include an internal loop control to produce high quality, tightly wound rolls for problem-free feeding of inserters or other finishing equipment. With adjustable web tension control, Roll 9 accommodates the wide range of tensions required for varying inkjet papers. WebVision EXspect guarantees print quality, and goes beyond to offer significant data integrity and workflow testing capabilities.
The TC 1550 HS 2P provides dynamic perforating and 3-hole punching on demand, page by page, in response to a 2D Datamatrix printed on each page of a job, supporting up to 89 different perforating/punching patterns within a job. TC 1550 HS users benefit from reduced paper inventories, higher quality end-user documents, and the enablement of new opportunities, such as targeted trans-promotional couponing.
In Screen booth #2613, Tecnau is exhibiting its Stack 2025 system on the Screen Truepress Jet520HD high-definition inkjet web press. The system again features the new Stacker s25, as well as Tecnau’s Cutter c20 single-cutting cutter, the right cutting solution for customers who don’t produce work with flush lines or who may trim bleed print during offline finishing operations.
In Ricoh booth #2022, Tecnau is exhibiting its Roll 9 system, supplying unwinding and rewinding to Ricoh’s Pro VC60000 continuous-feed inkjet printer.
In Xerox booth #1302, Tecnau again is exhibiting its Roll 9 roll-to-roll system, this time connected to the Xerox Trivor 2400 inkjet press.
In addition to the aforementioned products for today’s latest high-speed continuous inkjet presses, Tecnau has long offered the highest selling roll feed systems for sheet-fed production printers, its SheetFeeder family. SheetFeeder’s unwinder module with reliable and effective decurler feeds rolls right down to the core to the SheetFeeder cutter module, which in turn produces single sheets fed on demand through the SheetFeeder transport module to the sheet-fed printer. SheetFeeder user benefits include greatly reduced paper prices from rolls, especially for non-commodity papers, and reduced operator labor requirements, as the SheetFeeder’s 50” diameter rolls essentially become an additional 50,000 sheet input drawer.
In Canon booth #1213, Tecnau’s SheetFeeder VP 6000 supplies sheets from rolls to the Oce VarioPrint 6320 Ultra+ high speed, high volume digital monochrome press, making both operators and the printer more productive.
In Konica Minolta booth #2031, the SheetFeeder KM 2250 roll feed system offers up to 14 hours of non-stop cut-sheet paper feeding to the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS 2250P monochrome digital production printer.
