Tecnau Participated in Its 10th Inkjet Summit as Diamond Sponsor
Tecnau was pleased to participate as a diamond sponsor in our tenth Inkjet Summit, this year held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort outside of Austin, TX. The invitation-only event provides attendees with valuable insights into transitioning to production inkjet printing from traditional offset printing and/or digital toner printing. Highlights of Tecnau’s time at the 2023 Inkjet Summit included:
- 1:1 meetings: Tecnau participated in 30 1:1 meeting sessions – some at our instigation and some instigated by the attendees – with senior executives of a broad variety of printing organizations large and small. Some of these are already our customers, some are prospects with whom we’ve already engaged, and some are totally new to us. And of course, aside from the formal 1:1 sessions, there were many great opportunities to meet other attendees informally throughout the event.
- Boardroom case study presentations: A pair of Tecnau customers, one a large west coast commercial printer and the other a world-class healthcare organization with an in-plant print operation, kindly consented to share with attendees lessons learned from their own implementation of high-speed inkjet printing aided by leading-edge Tecnau finishing solutions. Tecnau was pleased to be nominated for best case study for the commercial print segment.
As always, the Inkjet Summit featured general sessions led by industry experts like Marco Boer, Pat McGrew, and Nathan Safran, plus panels featuring experienced inkjet printing users. Nathan Safran presented survey research citing bindery/finishing equipment as the far-and-away leader on commercial printers’ investment wish list.
Tecnau was also pleased to observe a recurring theme heard from these speakers and panelists, gathered from statements such as: “Customers and partners will require real-time dashboard connectivity”, “Buy equipment that can gather data”, and “Predictive maintenance with parts ordering is definitely of interest”. These are all elements of Tecnau Connect product architecture. Tecnau Connect is Tecnau’s Internet-of-Things platform available with our Revolution 50 cut/stack and roll-to-roll family, as well as with other recent-generation Tecnau products. Users are benefiting today from this high-level data access, along with partner service organizations and Tecnau product engineering.
“The Inkjet Summit is one of the top investments we make every year. Experience has shown that conversations begun at the Inkjet Summit have a relatively high level of likelihood of progressing to Tecnau finishing installations on newly placed production inkjet presses. We’re looking forward to next year’s event in Orlando,” said Scott Peterson, product marketing manager at Tecnau.
