The Print Council to Hold General Membership Meeting at PRINT 09
WASHINGTON, DC—September 9, 2009—The Print Council Executive Committee has announced that its general membership meeting will be held at PRINT 09 in Chicago on Tuesday, September 15th at 11:30 am in Room N135, McCormick Place, North Building, Level 1.
At this meeting, Ben Cooper, Executive Director, will report on several new initiatives undertaken by The Print Council:
• Print Delivers Agency Presentations – the multi-media presentations delivered to ad and media agencies, including Starcom Media Group and Campbell Ewald. Members participating in these sessions included NewPage, Xerox, Kodak, Heidelberg USA, IWCO Direct, Sandy Alexander, Sappi, and the US Postal Service. Additional presentations are planned on the national and regional levels.
• Why Print is Green – this new report describing ten specific ways in which print is green – from the responsible products used, renewable energy sourced, increased recycling rates, improved design and delivery methods. The report is intended for use by printers and designers to demonstrate to their customers why print media is the environmentally sound choice for communicating with the audiences they want to reach.
• Print in the Mix – the renewal for two additional years of The Print Council grant to RIT’s School of Print Media.
