The Printer Inc. Opens New Facility in Las Vegas, Expands Capacity with Two 29˝ HP Indigo Digital Presses
The Printer Inc. (TPI), a gaming industry print specialist, is expanding capacity with the acquisition of two new larger format 29˝ HP Indigo Series 4 presses and opening a new site in Las Vegas.
The commercial printer added an HP Indigo 12000 digital press to its Des Moines, Iowa, headquarters to complement its digital production on the HP Indigo 7800. In addition, it has expanded operations strategically to Las Vegas where it has installed an HP Indigo 10R Digital Press.
“Most four-color digital printing is based on a 19˝ sheet. Our new HP Indigo 10R and 12000 series presses can print a 29x20˝ image area. That will not only allow us to get more shells up on a sheet to produce direct mail faster to meet customer deadlines, but also allows for us to offer products in sizes other machines can’t including 9x24˝ format mailers,” said Billy Benskin, TPI Vice President of Manufacturing. “That combined with our ability to print with up to seven colors separates this press from others.”
With over four decades of expertise in commercial printing and direct mail, TPI has evolved into a premier direct marketing vendor for the gaming industry. TPI’s powerful direct marketing solutions enable casino operators to deliver complex variable offers to their players via direct mail, online platforms, and the My Offers App, the most innovative casino marketing app on the market.
The two new 29˝ HP Indigo presses will enable The Printer Inc. to expand its digital print applications using new substrates, including 14-pt. stock and plastics, as well as new ink effects with white, fluorescent, and many others.
The Printer Inc. has also adopted the HP PrintOS cloud-based platform for operating and workflow solutions. “The system allows managers to see press status, how many sheets the press has run, and compare our print shop efficiency to other HP service providers,” Benskin said.
