MELBOURNE, FL—February 25, 2014—The Printer’s Edge, one of the nation’s premier print finishers, has announced its decision to invest in a JETvarnish 3D digital spot UV coater.
The Printer’s Edge, located in Orlando, FL, and owned by Mark and Wendy Resnick, is an award-winning print finishing organization serving the graphic arts trade in the Southeast United States. The company partners with the region’s printers by providing an extensive line of finishing services including UV coating, foil stamping and embossing, diemaking, diecutting and bindery services. The company is powered by the industry’s best craftsmen and has earned a reputation for “making the tough jobs look easy.”
Continually in search of innovative products to best serve its clients and expand their business, The Printer's Edge started to explore options for digital spot UV coating in 2012. After extensive research of the current solutions available on the market, they decided that MGI’s JETvarnish 3D was the optimal solution for their needs.
"The JETvarnish 3D fills a huge gap in the print finishing industry where there is a growing need to differentiate, supply shorter runs and register to digital prints," said Mark Resnick. "We have the best of both worlds as our JETvarnish 3D is now in production, stationed right next to our traditional UV screen press. We foresee the JETvarnish 3D expanding our business by offering more finishing options for both our offset and digital print clients. Our staff and customers are excited about the new possibilities. The 3-D coating really engages the customer. Folks can’t resist touching the sheets and it’s hard to keep samples in stock."
Resnick continued: "The JETvarnish 3D is completely digital and the makeready times and costs are remarkably lower than on our screen printing press. This is definitely the future of where spot UV is headed, and we here at The Printer’s Edge are investing to make sure our customers have access to the absolute latest in print finishing technology. We encourage printers to give us a call. They will be very impressed with what we have to offer."
The Printer’s Edge will be unveiling their UV in 3D campaign featuring samples from its JETvarnish 3D at Booth #965, near the MGI booth which will have both the JETvarnish 3D and iFOIL module, as well as a Meteor DP8700XL, on display at Booth #614 at the Graphics of America.
