Think Patented Invests in HP Indigo 100K Digital Press to Drive Smart Marketing Efforts
Think Patented, a U.S. provider of integrated marketing services, today announced it has launched the new HP Indigo 100K Digital Press solution to drive digital printing volume with 1:1 variable data for its growing smart communications business.
Serving clients in more than 30 states from its headquarters near Dayton, Ohio, Think Patented has evolved its business from general commercial printing into a marketing services company. The company provides sophisticated outreach solutions combining tangible and digital communications to targeted audiences, including in higher education, retail, health care, financial, manufacturing, and non-profits.
“We are excited to partner with HP on installing a state-of-the-art HP Indigo 100K press. It is the world’s most productive B2 sheetfed press solution. We are impressed by its high speed, consistent quality of print, and versatility,” said Ken McNerney, CEO & Managing Partner. “Offset printing will continue to be part of the mix for longer static runs, hence our decision to invest in the groundbreaking large-size HP Indigo 100K to work in tandem with offset, and provide even faster turnaround time for our customers.”
“The ability to offer long-run offset, short-run and personalized printing at the highest quality positions Think Patented as a leader in our marketplace,” McNerney added.
The HP Indigo 100K sets a new benchmark in digital sheetfed productivity, capable of nonstop printing of tens of thousands of B2 duplex sheets every day. Think Patented has acquired the first commercially available unit in the US.
Think Patented will be driving data faster with the HP Indigo 100K, delivering color printing and VDP in a single print process. The new digital power will serve Think Patented’s range of divisions including the Connect360 direct mail and digital marketing business, and Quanta solution for higher education to enhance college recruitment. The marketing automation platforms use a combination of direct mail, email, sms, voice, and social media to help clients reach their targeted audience.
”Contrary to the view of some forecasters, print is not dead or dying. In fact, marketing campaigns produce better results when executed as a mix of digital, social and print. Digital is experiencing high growth with the capability of personalization and variable focused data in each piece printed,” added Niels Winther, Chairman and Managing Partner, Think Patented.
Think Patented invested in its first HP Indigo 7800 five years ago. Founded more than 40 years ago, the company is a growing organization operating 24/5. It was an early adopter of VDP technology, investing in digital printing.
Think Patented is also Pantone-certified print provider, one of fewer than a dozen printers in the world to have been certified by the Pantone corporation for having met their rigorous, industry-leading criteria for consistently superior color output. It is also a G7 Master to deliver brand color consistency across production for its clients.
The HP Indigo 100K works with HP PrintOS Color Beat and an inline spectrophotometer to achieve and reconfirm G7 Master Color Certification. Time/date-stamped color measurement data is automatically collected from the press, and securely transmitted with no human intervention to the Idealliance 3rd party laboratory for the G7 Master Facility Qualification.
