A new face on the show floor is Ottawa, ON, Canada’s Tilia Labs (Booth 158), which is carving out a space in the wide-format, label and packaging, and commercial print software segments. “We attended drupa last year and got a fantastic response which has generated a lot of business and new partners,” says Sagen de Jonge, CEO of Tilia Labs. “The U.S. is an important market for us, and PRINT 17 has a great reputation, so we are aiming for similar results.”
Tilia Labs specializes in planning and imposition automation, and its solutions offer full, lights-out automation for the most complex work such as ganged jobs, nested wide-format, or die-based packaging.
Tilia Labs is showcasing three products:
- Tilia Phoenix is an automated planning and imposition application for commercial, packaging, labels, and wide-format printers.
- Tilia Griffin is a powerful nesting application for wide-format that leverages Tilia’s Phoenix nesting engine to create true-shape, tightly nested layouts, helping drive down substrate costs and increase throughput.
- Tilia Cloud is a “command center” for connecting, managing, and collaborating on orders and jobs.
“Our products are targeted for print service providers,” says de Jonge. “They help them grow their business through operational excellence by automating extremely complex and error-prone tasks, which reduces turnaround times, improves opportunities for short runs and customization, and also can greatly reduce material waste.”
