Trade Show Industry Publication Highlights the Success of PRINTING United Expo
The trade show and events magazine Trade Show Executive (TSE) featured Ford Bowers, CEO of PRINTING United Alliance, and Mark Subers, president – events. The article provides insight on the organizational evolution that led to the forming of The Alliance, the rapid growth and success of the annual PRINTING United Expo – which will take place this year in Atlanta, October 18-20 – and how the purchase of NAPCO Media was an essential ingredient in “de-siloing” the printing industry, thus opening doors for opportunity.
In addition to being featured in Trade Show Executive, PRINTING United Expo was named as a finalist for the publication’s “Gold 100 Grand Awards List,” and is a finalist in categories focusing on exhibitor ROI and attendee acquisition.
A Shared Vision
The TSE profile discusses how PRINTING United Expo offers quantity and quality. This year’s event is expected to exceed 30,000 registrants; among attendees, 88% have purchasing authority or influence. It all stemmed from a concept – a new vision for the printing industry. “We had a shared vision of the future,” Bowers says. “Our understanding of the industry … was the need to develop a new, multi-segment model event to drive stronger ROI for both exhibitors and attendees.”
Subers shares evidence of the efficacy of the industry-wide approach of PRINTING United Expo and The Alliance: “In one of our first meetings with one of the top global equipment manufacturers, we only got to the first slide of our presentation before we got the `we’re in,’ … “we were offering the right solution at the right time.”
For 2023, the “right time” for the printing industry is October 18-20; the right place is Atlanta. Join The Alliance and 30,000 industry colleagues for an unforgettable experience: everything in one place, an industry united by opportunity.
