Transcontinental Concludes Sale of U.S. Direct Mail Assets
MONTREAL—April 1, 2010—Having cleared US regulatory requirements, Transcontinental announces that it has concluded the sale of its direct mail operations in the United States to IWCO Direct, a U.S. company headquartered in Minnesota. The assets are located in Warminster and Hamburg, PA; Fort Worth, TX; and Downey, CA.
The transaction price amounts to $112.5 million. Transcontinental's direct mail group in the United States generated revenues of $153 million in 2009 and has about 1,200 employees.
