Turner Publishing Selects Ingram Publisher Services for Book Distribution
NASHVILLE, TN—Dec. 14, 2011—Ingram Publisher Services, an Ingram Content Group company, announced an agreement with Turner Publishing to provide distribution services. Turner will maintain sales and marketing functions and will work with Ingram to expand the reach of its content to more book readers worldwide. Ingram will take over distribution of all Turner imprints beginning Jan. 1, 2012.
“Over the last nine years at Turner, we have transformed from a publisher of specialty books to a solid trade house, now with multiple New York Times-bestselling authors,” said Todd Bottorff, President and Publisher, Turner Publishing. “My main focus now is to continue to grow our fiction and nonfiction lines through the front list and through acquisition of other publishers’ assets. It’s a logical step to turn over distribution logistics to Ingram Publisher Services as the industry becomes more complex.”
Founded in 1984, Turner Publishing is an award-winning independent book publisher based in Nashville, TN. Its imprints include Turner, Ancestry.com, Fieldstone Alliance, Iroquois Press, Trade Paper Press, and Ramsey & Todd.
“Our mission at Ingram is to help content reach its destination—we are pleased to add Turner to our growing roster of leading publishers,” said Mark Ouimet, vice president and general manager, Ingram Publisher Services. “We look forward to putting our comprehensive services to work for Turner, allowing them to concentrate on content creation and business growth in this time of transformation in publishing.”
