Two Examples of Marketing with LED Lights: Solution of the Week Video
Last week Structural Graphics showed how lights were used in an invitation to stand out and really make an impact. Today, it features two examples of marketing with LEDs: a mailer to introduce the first automatic pool cleaner ever to include LED lights; and an LED print ad from Wired magazine that was used to invite readers to "customize their Motorola phones."
This piece for Pentair Aquatic Systems, the global leading manufacturer of swimming pool, spa and aquatic equipment, contains more than meets the eye. Upon first glance, it's a simple informational folder, but when the piece is opened, the highlighted product, the Kreepy Krauly Racer Pressure-side Pool Cleaner, is illuminated. The Racer cleaner is the first automatic pool cleaner to feature LED lights.

In January’s issue of Wired magazine, Motorola featured an engaging print ad that allowed select readers to “customize” the back of a Moto X with bright LEDs illuminating the phone in 11 different colors. A trio of LEDs, a slab of plexiglass, four batteries and an array of buttons, made up this interactive ad.
