SUSSEX, WI—March 9, 2010—QuadTech, the worldwide leader and innovator of press control technology, today asked the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia to expand its patent infringement action against Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC) to assert infringement against two additional QIPC products: its Intelligent Register System (IRS) and Intelligent Density System (IDS). The U.S. action was started by QuadTech in June 2009, alleging that QIPC’s mRC register control system infringes on U.S. Patent 5,412,577. Today QuadTech moved to amend its complaint to assert that QIPC’s Intelligent Register System and Intelligent Density System also infringe the same QuadTech patent. The founders and owners of QIPC are former QuadTech employees.
