Carlstadt, NJ, Firefighters Are Called to Squelch Rooftop Blaze at Unimac Graphics
CARLSTADT, NJ—March 17, 2015—About 16 firefighters responded to a fire yesterday morning at Unimac Graphics based here, reported NorthJersey.com. According to Jenn Russo, the company's marketing director, the fire started in a pressroom.
Carlstadt Deputy Fire Chief Steve Capuano reported to NorthJersey.com that the fire started in duct work in the middle of the building and spread up to the roof, but its cause is not known.
Three Unimac Graphics workers put out the fire with fire extinguishers and were checked for smoke inhalation. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to fully extinguish the fire, which only damaged the duct work. Employees were able to return to work afterwards.
Among other products, Unimac Graphics produces billboards and other large-format graphics for exhibits, bus shelters and more at this facility.
