Dingley Enhances Postpress

LISBON, ME—Catalog printer The Dingley Press increased postpress capacity with the installation of two new Heidelberg Pacesetter 1000 saddle stitchers. The acquisition of the stitchers, which can stitch up to 20,000 books per hour and are equipped for selective binding and ink-jet personalization, bring the company's total to 10 high-volume Heidelberg saddle stitchers. "We needed to bring postpress capacity in line with our press capacity, especially following the installation of a two-web Heidelberg Sunday 3000 that produces up to 100,000 48-page magazine forms per hour," points out Bill Braley, Dingley Press vice president of manufacturing.
