ISLANDIA, NY—August 5 2009—Van Son Holland Ink Corp., a leading global printing ink manufacturer known around the world for producing high quality, high performance inks for every offset press, today announced the introduction of Vs1 to its Vs Series of inks. An oil-based ink engineered to provide printers with swift makeready, Vs1 provides UV and aqueous coating capability, and stability regardless of press size. Vs1 is also laser safe after 48 to72 hours for increased productivity and rapid post-print processing.
Vs1 is available for use with substrates such as coated or uncoated paper, recycled paper, board stock, matte, and light-weight coated paper and provides ease-of-use for any press size. The ink is also characterized by fast finishing qualities, stays fresh overnight on-press, and boasts the lowest amount of water pickup for superb transfer capability. A four-color process set, Vs Series PANTONE® base colors, and special blends are also available.
“Today’s printers have a right to expect ink to add reliability as well as profitability to presswork,” said John Sammis, vice president of sales and marketing for Van Son. “Vs1 answers these expectations with expanded capability and a significant boost in bottom line results.”
