ARCDALE, NC—Dec. 30, 2008—Vecoplan, a worldwide leader in shredding and recycling technology, celebrates their fortieth anniversary in 2009. Vecoplan was founded in 1969 in Bad Marienberg, Germany as a manufacturer of high quality wood chippers. In the early 1980’s, Vecoplan’s focus turned to the design and manufacture of innovative machinery for recycling a comprehensive range of materials.
This led to Vecoplan’s invention of the first single-shaft rotary shredder, which revolutionized not only the company but also the size reduction industry in general. In 1989, a European patent was awarded to Vecoplan for the single-shaft shredder and its unique “U-rotor”, which quickly became the most popular design on single-shaft shredders and continues to be the most advanced cutting geometry for the universal size reduction of a wide spectrum of waste materials.
In 1994, Vecoplan earned its ISO 9001 certification. This certification ensures that Vecoplan meets the highest standards for quality systems, innovative product development, design engineering, and complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Vecoplan remains committed to continuous improvement in customer service and total customer satisfaction.
In 2000, Vecoplan combined forces with ReTech Industries, the American leader in single-shaft rotary grinder equipment, to form Vecoplan, LLC - establishing themselves as the global leader in size reduction technologies. Today Vecoplan has a substantial presence on every continent, with the exception of Antarctica, and currently has over 5,000 machines and systems operating around the world.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the loyal customers that have made this milestone possible,” states Len Beusse, COO of Vecoplan, LLC. “It’s our goal to continue to earn their patronage over the next forty years.”
VECOPLAN shredding and recycling equipment is the preferred choice for most industrial applications in the plastics processing and recycling industries, printing and converting industries, secure destruction industry, woodworking industries, as well as general waste processing and recovery industries.
