At Graph Expo 2016, our friends at INKISH TV, a TV-channel dedicated to the printing industry, caught up with VP Fabian Prudhomme from Enfocus, a software company specializing in the development of tools to control the quality of PDF files for print and to automate workflow processes in the graphic arts industry.
Prudhomme discusses the appstore — which is embedded into Switch, Enfocus' tool that turns time-consuming tasks into an automated workflow. The appstore is where customers can buy apps which will function within their Switch workflow and environment.

"These apps are developed by us, by integration partners, by end customers who have done specific things with Switch, and now have a platform, a commercial platform, where they can resell what they have done in the past — not only to one customer but to the entire world," explains Prudhomme. "So, that's one of the big features within Switch, turning Switch into a bigger ecosystem."
Prudhomme added that at Graph Expo, Enfocus highlighted at its booth its PDF preview module that is going to be sold as a Switch module the company is launching, and it's going to be a solution that enables online PDF approval.
The advantage of having an online PDF approval is the ease of working in a browser environment. "You send a URL to someone that you want to approve a PDF file. This person just clicks on the URL, has a PDF rendered and streams in the browser," he concludes. "So you don't have to download it locally and you don't have to wait. This technology makes it happen very fast."
