Once again at PRINT 17, the Printerverse (Booth 4425) will be opening the pod bay doors and inviting the industry into its universe of education and networking. With a tag line of “Print Long and Prosper,” the goal of this show floor feature is to be a hub of learning for all attendees, and a place where people can come together to network and exchange ideas in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
And, notes Deborah Corn, Intergalactic Ambassador to The Printerverse, Print Media Centr, the connections go beyond just those attendees who could make it to the show. All the panel sessions will be live streamed to the internet, allowing people from around the world to participate as well.
“The Printerverse is a show floor feature at PRINT 17 that facilitates open knowledge sharing and direct engagement between the show attendees, the print community who didn’t make it to the show, and a variety of exhibiting companies I call the Intergalactic Alliance,” says Corn.
And speaking of the Intergalactic Alliance, this group of sponsors, says Corn, is what makes the entire thing possible. “Without the Alliance there is no Printerverse, and these handpicked companies have a lot to offer.” In addition to sponsoring the wide range of panels and seminars that will be held at the booth, the Alliance is also sponsoring coffee and networking breaks throughout the show, so every attendee can stop by for free coffee and refreshments, and take time to meet and interact with their fellow show travelers.
“Our free education on the show floor runs all day, every day of the show,” says Corn. “Attendees are more than welcome to plant themselves and watch as many sessions and events as they’d like. Last year we had a few people spend the entire show with us, and historically our badge scans over the last five years show attendees visit the Printerverse multiple times each day for education, networking, and a little fun.”
And fun is certainly on the agenda, with everyone in the booth—from the attendees, to the Alliance hosts, to the panelists—all getting into the spirit of expanding their horizons beyond the stars. But beneath that core is a dedication to ensuring every person they interact with walks away feeling like they have learned something new, something they can take with them to grow their businesses and their own careers.
“The Printerverse was created to serve and grow our community at the show, and beyond our booth walls,” says Corn. “Print Media Centr is the facilitator, providing information and printspiration 24/7/365. I partner with people and companies that can help us all do our jobs better. Through my site and social channels, I engage with more than 125,000 print and marketing community members and influencers, and help as much as I can to connect the community with products, services, and each other.”
