Scripts for television mysteries always get solved in 60 minutes or less. In the real world, UV mysteries do not follow a script, and unless solved the bottom line of your company is punished. In this premier 60-minute episode, learn how to think, act and respond like a detective to solve your UV print mysteries.
Today, from 2:30 to 3:45 pm, in Room 343, we will focus on the shiny (gloss levels), sticky (adhesion) and mistaken identity. This presentation shows how to use data collection tools and methods to detect, analyze and correct common UV curing problems. The information will include an examination of how wavelength, peak irradiance and energy density influence cure, and how radiometers and profiling radiometers, together with real-time UV sensors and a proper process window specification and monitoring program, can fix and prevent UV-curing problems.
It will be hosted by Jim Raymont, Director of Sales, EIT, LLC (Booth 2800), who is active in sharing his knowledge of UV Measurement and UV Process Control. Raymont’s expertise in UV curing and technology spans across markets including industrial, container, graphics, nameplate, traditional UV, LED, screen, digital and flexography. His expertise centers on promoting the use and understanding of UV technology and its effective measurement in the print process, and better use of the print products.
