Worzalla, an employee-owned book printer specializing in printing high-quality children’s books, movie tie-in books and cookbooks, spread its community giving efforts across Wisconsin borders to support the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear established the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to assist those impacted by the tornados and the severe weather system last December. In total, Worzalla contributed $3,880 to the Fund, $690 of which was raised personally by associates. Worzalla is matching what was raised and is contributing an additional $2,500.
“We all watched in horror when those tornados ripped through Kentucky and several other states leaving a trail of destruction and death that was just unimaginable. I was especially saddened to see the images of several manufacturing facilities obliterated beyond recognition,” said Jim Fetherston, President and CEO of Worzalla. “What if that storm had been in our town? Hitting our homes, our plant? We’re proud to stand with our associates and make a contribution to relief and recovery efforts for those that have been hit hardest.”
The tornado and storms caused severe structural damage in several towns across Kentucky and killed dozens. Recovery and rebuilding efforts are underway. Those interested in learning about the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund or making a donation can click here.
