Worzalla, an employee-owned printing company specializing in high-quality custom products, recently offered its employees and their spouses free mammogram screenings in partnership with the Marshfield Clinic’s Mobile Health Screening Unit. Worzalla employees were examined by licensed and certified technicians, who used the latest in digital imaging to screen for breast cancer.
“The wellbeing and healthcare of our employees are extremely important to us, and we are pleased to partner with the Marshfield Clinic to offer mammogram screenings to our employees and their spouses,” said Brianne Petruzalek, Director of Human Resources at Worzalla. “We understand that scheduling important checkups and screenings can be difficult outside of working hours, so we want to make it as easy as possible for our employees to get the preventative care that they need.”
Worzalla associates were offered the option of scheduling mammogram screenings before, during, or after their regular shifts. Associates’ spouses were also invited to schedule an appointment for a mammogram screening.
“Having the mobile mammogram unite at Worzalla is so convenient, I don’t need to schedule time away from work or travel to an appointment,” said Jackie Buse, a Customer Service Representative at Worzalla. “I’ve taken advantage of Worzalla’s free mammograms for about ten years now!”
Mammograms are used as a screening test to find signs of breast cancer before a person has any symptoms. According to the American Cancer Society, women age 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year. Women ages 55 and older are advised to either continue yearly screenings or switch to screenings every two years.
Worzalla has been offering free breast cancer screenings to its employees and their spouses for 12 years. Worzalla associates enjoy a comprehensive and competitive benefits package when it comes to healthcare, which includes 90% employer paid medical insurance with a choice between three health insurance plans; 100% employer paid dental and vision insurance; flexible spending account and/or health savings account; and an on-site Ascension health office where employees can receive immediate attention.
