Xanté to Show Latest Versions of Digital and Envelope Presses
MOBILE, AL—July 14, 2009—Xanté is fast becoming the hero of small and midsize prepress and print shops needing competitive, state-of-the-art technology at practical price points. Visitors to PRINT 09 booth 5246, in Chicago from September 11-16, will see the latest versions of Xanté's broad range of solutions. Xanté is a leading single source provider of a complete line of products including platesetters, digital color presses, all-in-one PDF workflows, plate processors, plates and chemistry — for all printing demands.
"Today, more than ever, is the time when our affordable price points really shine. Our customers continue to give us feedback that they appreciate the extensive features and value we offer, especially in our Ilumina family of solutions," says Robert Ross, CEO and founder of Xanté.
New Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+ is a Hit
"We were attracted to the Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+ because it made good business sense to be able to free up an offset printer and press operator and have a dedicated, affordable solution to run our envelope jobs," says Dennis Davenport, president of Tennessee-based Kensho Inc. Davenport likes the versatility of the Xanté Ilumina solution. "We've had the system installed about a month and we've run a lot of different types of jobs on it, including labels, cards, and of course envelopes, and it does a really good job."
"We've never experienced a stronger product introduction than with the Xanté Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+," says Thomas Bassett, Principal, Sales Manager for Image Depot, a leading graphic arts distribution company serving customers in South Florida. Since February, Image Depot has successfully sold and installed 18 Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+ systems. "We've had a strong record of success with the Ilumina family of products, having sold about 30 presses over the past two years. When we saw this latest solution, we recognized the potential immediately," says Bassett.
According to Bassett, "Four-color envelope printing is the last bastion of offset printing, until now. Xanté is breaking down those barriers by offering an easy and economical short-run digital color envelope printing solution."
The Ilumina Digital Envelope Press+, with output on envelopes up to 13"x15", gives small to mid-sized shops the ability to print up to 60 full-color envelopes per minute. Its 800 piece input capacity supports volume production demands such as those needed for trans-promo applications. All Ilumina devices can print on window envelopes.
Customers can also utilize the versatile Ilumina-based system to produce full-color page mailings from its 530-sheet cassette, which has the ability to handle up to 12x18" paper. The single-pass large format laser based system is Adobe PostScript driven and designed to be fast and ready for volume production. It can produce full color output at up to 36 ppm and monochrome output up to 40 ppm.
New Ilumina 502 Digital Production Press
