ITASCA, Ill. — August 30, 2016 — Xeikon, a market leader in digital color printing technology for the commercial print, labels and packaging industries, today reported that it will be exhibiting at Graph Expo in Orlando, Fla., scheduled for Sept. 25-28. Xeikon will be located in Booth 2849 at the show where it will be demonstrating end-to-end digital production of high quality commercial printing.
Direct Marketing made better with the Xeikon 9800
Xeikon’s technology is steeped in innovation for the document market; and the Xeikon 9800 represents some of the latest developments. It can print on a wide range of untreated substrates ranging from 27lb text to 130lb cover (40gsm to 350gsm) at a resolution of 1,200 dpi with variable dot density for unmatched quality. Combined with the variable data capabilities of the Xeikon X-800 front-end, this press is perfectly suited for high-end direct marketing work.
“Following the outstanding market reception to the Xeikon 9800 digital press for commercial print since its introduction in 2015, we are excited to be showing the press to Graph Expo for the first time in North America,” shares Dave Wilkins, VP, sales and marketing of Xeikon. “For an end-to-end productive digital workflow, it will be configured with a web varnishing module and a Pile High Stacker producing high quality direct mail.”
At Graph Expo, Xeikon will also show the first printing-system that doesn’t require operator intervention to ensure that the device is always printing to G7. With this fully automated solution, the printing of control strips, measurements, the generation of correction curves and the implementation of these new curves is all handled in real-time, by a fully automated, closed loop control system.
Trillium One: a Must See 'Em recipient
While the new Xeikon Trillium One press with its breakthrough liquid toner technology (Tonnik) will not physically be present at the show, Xeikon will be recreating its Trillium One Virtual Reality Experience previously shown at drupa. This is an innovative means of enabling visitors to virtually experience the Trillium One press, which was recognized with a Must See 'Em award in the Digital Press category. “This experience received rave reviews from drupa visitors and wowed the Must See 'Em judges as well,” Wilkins adds. “It demonstrates how Xeikon is leveraging advanced technology in all areas of our business to ensure the utmost in customer experience, convenience, productivity and profitability with Xeikon solutions. We believe visitors to our stand will have a thoroughly enjoyable experience as they educate themselves about the benefits of our Trillium technology.” If you have a pair of VR goggles, you can watch the video here: www.xeikon.com/trillium-vr.
Trillium One adds a new dimension to the world of digital printing that has not previously existed in the marketplace. It is faster than full-color dry toner solutions and has the ability to take digital printing to a new level in terms of price/performance metrics - all features that make the Trillium unique. Also its high resolution imaging heads (1,200 dpi with variable dot density) and toner particle size of less than 2 microns create a winning combination for the ultimate in quality and productivity.
