Xeikon and Screen (USA) Enter Joint Marketing Program for the U.S. Graphic Arts Market
ITASCA, IL—09/14/2009—Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, legendary for pioneering the first digital color presses, and Screen (USA), a leading provider of systems and components for the graphic arts industry, today announced that the two companies have entered a joint marketing program. Through the program, Screen (USA) will be able to offer the Xeikon digital color solutions to its US-based clients for book publishing and transactional/TransPromo applications and Xeikon will be able to offer the Truepress jet 520.
"We are excited about working with Screen (USA). They are a true pioneer in the graphic arts industry," said Michael V. Ring, Vice President of Sales & Chief Marketing Officer of Xeikon's North American operations. "We are confident that this alliance will further strengthen the market position of both our companies and allow us to better serve the graphic arts community."
For more than a generation, Screen (USA) has been best known for outstanding products with diverse operating features that help printers and graphic arts companies achieve higher quality output in an efficient, cost-effective manner. "We are proud of our ability to provide industry-focused solutions to advance the future of print and believe in developing long-term relationships that enable our customers to be better prepared for the increasingly competitive marketplace of tomorrow. Our latest alliance with Xeikon is yet another important step in this direction," said Michael Fox, President of Screen (USA).
Xeikon has never stopped pioneering world-class digital print solutions. Well over two decades of experience has culminated in an entirely new product line that was launched at drupa 2008. The new Xeikon product line offers an unparalleled combination of image quality, productivity and eco-friendliness to printers. It has an imaging addressability of 1200x3600 dpi and monthly duty cycles of up to 8.5 million pages. Other unique features of the Xeikon technology include its format flexibility with a substrate width of up to 20.2 in. and no restrictions on the length of the printed application as well as its substrate weight range (27 lb text to 16-point board stock). Furthermore, the Xeikon presses can print on both sides of a substrate simultaneously - no other high volume digital color press has this capability.
"Our joint marketing program with Xeikon enables us to offer the unique capabilities of the Xeikon technology to our US clients for their digital color production requirements. We are looking forward to working alongside Xeikon and helping our clients grow their business," concluded Fox.
