Looking Beyond Dots Per Inch with the New Xerox Versant 80 Press (Video)

In a recent Xerox "Ask the Experts" episode, participants discussed the important role of two different types of print resolution in the accurate and natural reproduction of blends, flesh tones, and other subtle gradated content. The episode featured an introduction from Brian Segnit, worldwide product marketing manager at Xerox, and also featured: Betsy Allen of Cortland Press, Cortland, New York; and Tim Sheppard of Alphaset Digital, Surbiton, United Kingdom—two early test users of the Xerox Versant 80 digital press, who shared their experiences testing this new technology.

Jim Hamilton, group director of InfoTrends, also reflected on a recently completed survey spanning more than 600 print service providers across print-for-pay and in-plant environments in North America, as well as findings from an exclusive InfoTrends whitepaper on Ultra-HD Resolution.
