Latest Version of XMPie PersonalEffect to Debut at GRAPH EXPO 2012
NEW YORK, NY—September 26, 2012—XMPie, A Xerox Company, the leading provider of software solutions for Individualized Communications Management (ICM), will debut PersonalEffect 6 at GRAPH EXPO 2012. The latest version of this family of desktop and server-based solutions for 1:1 multichannel communications improves and harnesses major areas of the software for better productivity and reliability.
Users of XMPie’s XLIM, a document format that enables ultra-fast production of graphically-simple documents, will appreciate enhancements to the XLIM format in PersonalEffect 6. Now with support for dynamic tables, tracking and kerning, and Auto Flow text handling, the designer can create more robust designs while working in Adobe InDesign, yet still maintain rapid processing speeds and high productivity enabled by XLIM. Additionally, the XLIM composition engine now works in native PDF output mode, saving time by eliminating the PostScript to PDF conversion step.
PersonalEffect 6 also brings significant enhancements to the performance, reliability and usability of the XMPie e-Mail Service. In effect, users now have a choice of two workflows for variable e-mail creation and delivery. With the new workflow, composition is offloaded to the e-mail delivery provider, enabling up to a 16x performance and deliverability improvement. Added enhancements to the HTML/TXT editor (e.g., a built-in ADOR Object for adding the ‘View in Browser’ link, static image upload, etc.) also make it quicker and easier to create e-mail projects from within uProduce.
Genna Trombley, account coordinator at DXM Marketing Group, is impressed with the new e-mail workflow and faster production speed of PersonalEffect 6. “A campaign with 100,000 recipients that used to take approximately 8-10 hours to complete, now only takes about an hour. Plus, the improved e-mail performance allows us to hit inboxes simultaneously, which has helped us achieve more accurate delivery timing and healthier results."
Additional PersonalEffect 6 enhancements:
- Keeping in step with Adobe, PersonalEffect 6 supports Creative Suite 6. As a result, users can take advantage of its newest features, such as native 64-bit implementation and text frame fitting.
- The new uImage On Demand function optimizes the rendering of Web pages and e-mails containing personalized images that are created on-the-fly. This feature is recommended in cases when pre-processing uImages is not possible (e.g., Refer-a-Friend and self-registration campaigns).
- A new method for handling file-based data sources streamlines the data workflow, saving time and transferring records more accurately.
- Tracking performance improvements for batch jobs include faster insertion of tracked data into the database, and reduced consumption of SQL server resources.
XMPie PersonalEffect 6 will be on display in the XMPie area of Xerox booth 1200 at GRAPH EXPO 2012, and is now available worldwide.
