Xplor International Recognizes 2013 Award Winners
LUTZ, FL—April 16, 2013—Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, has named the recipients of its annual 2013 awards. The two annual Xplor Awards recognize the Application of the Year and Technology of the Year and were presented at a ceremony and luncheon today, Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the TradeWinds Island Grand Hotel and Conference Center, in Tampa Bay, FL.
Application of the Year Award is presented to an individual, company or organization to recognize outstanding achievement in the imaginative application of current technology and/or unique implementation of existing document and communication systems. This award is open to members and non-members.
A statistical tie in scoring, as determined by the Xplor Awards Committee, prompted the declaration of two winners: Metlife Iberia/GMC Software and Apex Information Technologies.
MetLife Iberia/GMC Software for their integration and rebranding of Alico’s customer communications (a company purchased by MetLife Iberia) to reflect MetLife’s corporate identity and customer-centric approach.
The tasks included the successful integration, standardization, and migration of data and addition of multiple distribution channels to name a few. The implementation resulted in full rebranding of all customer communications, significant cost reduction, faster turnaround and the implementation of a system that can easily accommodate quick and cost effective changes.
Apex Information Technologies for their implementation across a broad range of healthcare organizations. A system that unites payment services from various facilitators through one seamless interface to limit the number of payment portals and simplify billing for both healthcare facilities and patients.
One of the installations reduced incoming correspondence by 40 percent after carefully redesigning their statements to emphasize their brand, increase clarity, and highlight online bill payment options. This medical group also saw a 93 percent decrease in multiple-page mailings, thereby reducing costs for paper and printing.
Technology of the Year Award honors an individual, company or organization that has conceived and developed an original concept leading to a significant advancement in the industry. This can be a new program, product or technology that notably enhances the capabilities of document and communication systems.
The winner of the 2013 Technology of the Year Award is NEPS, LLC for their hosted CCM platform. The CCM platform empowers their customers with comprehensive command, control and visibility over their content and processes. NEPS’ model enables their customer’s business units to gain and exercise complete control of their intellectual property—including business rules, content and document maintenance.
At the core of the NEPS cloud based CCM platform is NSite®, NEPS proprietary solution that provides complete end-to-end visibility and reporting through the NSite Control Center.
“As an association that supports this industry, we are honored to recognize the people, companies and technologies that are shaping the future of how we communicate using print, electronic and mobile communications” said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International.
