A new series of sector-specific Webinars is being released from NPES based on presentations from the ICC DevCon 2014 Conference.

Commercial printers from around North America attended the IDEAlliance G7 Expert/Professional Training Seminar at the The Standard Group's Print and Technology Center in Lititz, PA. The sold-out training seminar combined classroom lectures by Don Hutcheson, G7 Inventor and Instructor, and live demonstrations by The Standard Group Print Production Team and covered proofing and press calibration and ICC profiling.

An intensive three-day course on digital wide- and grand-format printing will be offered by Agfa Graphics and IDEAlliance. At the end of the course, participants will become G7 certified in the fields of color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing.

CGS Publishing Technologies International and Canon Solutions America (CSA) have partnered to provide Canon imagePRESS users with a new solution employing CGS’ ORIS color calibration and certification software, enabling imagePRESS operators to create accurate calibration profiles for their digital presses.

IDEAlliance has awarded Hard Copy Proofing Certification for SWOP (Specifications for Web Offset Publications) grades 3 & 5 and GRACoL (General Requirements and Applications for Commercial Offset Lithography) grade 1, to Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPFX400 series. The certification indicates to end-users that the appearance of the hard copy proof used in the application will be consistent and accurate with the final print production product based on industry standards.
