To demonstrate its numerous printing systems to the European market, Canon recently held a two-week event at its Customer Experience Center in Germany, called Canon for Business 2014. More than 2,600 customers visited the facility, where they attended seminars and watched demos of Canon's wide-format, cutsheet and continuous-feed digital output devices.
At the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen "Digital Sneak Peek" event held early last month in Heidelberg, Germany, CEO Dr. Gerold Linzbach told a room full of international journalists and industry analysts that the company is not your father's Heidelberg anymore. Although the manufacturer once held the belief that its customers sought homegrown, "industrial-strength" output solutions developed solely by Heidelberg, Linzbach admitted the need to change that inward mindset throughout his organization.

A new low power regenerative Head Interface Board (HIB) for the Fujifilm Dimatix SG1024 StarFire printheads has been introduced by Global Inkjet Systems (GIS). The new GIS HIB-FD-A4D supports the StarFire SG1024/S/M/L printheads and only requires a standard 24V power supply.

Leadership," Konica Minolta hosted roughly 1,100 attendees representing 334 dealerships at its 2013 Konica Minolta Business Conference and Product Expo, which was held at the posh Venetian/Palazzo Resort in Las Vegas from Nov. 17-20. The 2013 event also happened to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the merger bewteen Konica and Minolta.
