Blue Ocean Worldwide has installed three EFI VUTEk GS5000r printers. Two of the printers have been installed at the company's headquarters in Long Island City, NY, while a third has been installed in its Las Vegas facility. Blue Ocean Worldwide is hosting an open house today at its headquarters to showcase the new printers.

IDEAlliance has awarded Hard Copy Proofing Certification for SWOP (Specifications for Web Offset Publications) grades 3 & 5 and GRACoL (General Requirements and Applications for Commercial Offset Lithography) grade 1, to Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPFX400 series. The certification indicates to end-users that the appearance of the hard copy proof used in the application will be consistent and accurate with the final print production product based on industry standards.

EFI has announced a record number of equipment sales deals during the FESPA London 2013 exhibit held last month, with attendees acquiring EFI VUTEk and EFI wide-format printers driven by EFI Fiery digital front end (DFE) systems. This year’s FESPA was also one of the best yet in terms of software sales, with several companies purchasing new MIS and ERP systems from EFI.
