JVR Food Packaging Solution, based in Surrey, British Columbia, has installed Canada's first Goldline (1300) manual flatbed diecutter from Diecut America. “We are very excited about the opportunities that the Goldline machine provides,” said Yvonne Rochon, president of JVR Food Packaging Solutions.

At Ipex in London last week Microcut/Colter & Peterson introduced new Microcut automated backgauge control systems for paper cutters. Colter & Peterson debuted two new systems and demonstrated two popular and highly reliable programs. Ipex visitors saw the new Microcut COLOR WS and Microtrack II, in addition to the Microcut PLUS WS and Microcut JR.

The new buckle plate folders (BH-models) and combination folders (CH-models) from Heidelberg, are available in 56, 66, 78 and 82 centimeter widths. The new machines are targeted to existing Stahlfolder TH/KH customers who are looking for lower cost additional capacity or to customers who are looking for a low cost start in professional folding, in order to be able to ensure added value and quality control in their own production flows.

Platinum Converting has installed a Bobst Expertcut 106 LER blanker in its 120,000-square-foot facility in Itasca, IL, enhancing its strong presence in diecutting services. "This machine adds additional technology to our line-up providing high speed, accurate blank separation together with the option of full sheet delivery," said Jeff Huber, president at Platinum Converting.
