Based in Israel, Heret Printing has installed the latest version of the MGI JETvarnish 3D Digital Spot UV and in-line iFOIL system.
The JETVarnish 3DS was designed and manufactured by MGI and Konica Minolta to help printers expand their services.
This 2015 Gold Ink Awards entry was entered into the Calendars category by Carlson Print Group of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The self-promotional calendar incorporates a variety of special effects, combined with beautiful photography, to makes this compelling piece really stand out. The calendar, which the company has been producing for its clients for several years, has become a legacy piece, says Bonnie Budke, client services, Carlson Print Group.
On May 20-21, Precision Graphics and MGI will host a Digital Printing Open House at Precision Graphics’ Jackson, Wisconsin, showroom.
During a two-day Open House at Agfa Graphics' City of Industry, California, facility, the company will demonstrate how digital printing solutions can help businesses grow. Open House attendees will learn more about the benefits and opportunities offered by the JETvarnish and iFOIL from MGI.

The Pack Experts Committee awarded MGI's iFOIL with the Innovation Award at the 2014 Emballage Packaging Exhibition. This year, 1,500 exhibitors submitted over 208 innovative products, and the top eight entries were given this prestigious award. Working in-line with the JETvarnish 3D, the iFOIL uses a revolutionary 100 percent digital process to create embossed hot foil effects.
At SGIA Expo 14, Agfa Graphics' booth promises to be packed with new technology with demonstrations of its Anapurna M3200i RTR, and more. To illustrate the creativity of its portfolio, Agfa Graphics will debut the Surf N' Crab Application Zone which simulates a seafood bar and surf shop.
Scodix reported another successful show at GRAPH EXPO 14. The company sold one of its Scodix Ultra presses to EarthColor, a digital services provider in Moonachie, NJ. EarthColor serves companies in a variety of industries from telecommunications to real estate. Executive Vice President Cheryl Kahanec remarked, "With innovative printing capabilities like Scodix, we believe we can help our clients reach their goals through enhanced print collateral."
