Wallace Carlson has added a Komori Lithrone G40 press with H-UV (GL840) to its facility in Minnesota.
Komori America announced it will use SG360° as the beta site for Komori’s sheetfed inkjet Impremia IS29.
Komori will have experts on hand to consult GRAPH EXPO 15 attendees as to how they can “Do More” as it relates to offset productivity.
Beyer Graphics announced it is investing $8.4 million to add two new 41" KBA Rapida 106 UV presses to its inventory—an eight-color plus coater and a specially-configured nine-color press that is one of only a few in the United States. This large capital investment is the firm’s first partnership with KBA.
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, 4 Color Press (4CP) has been an early adopter of Heidelberg’s Anicolor technology. Most recently, the company added its second Anicolor machine, a Speedmaster XL 75 -5+L. 4CP is on track to triple its business in the next two years. According to 4CP’s owners Andrew and Lisa Fuld, the company had outgrown the Speedmaster SM 52 Anicolor it acquired in 2007, logging more than 103 million impressions on the machine in seven years.

In the second quarter of 2015 Koenig & Bauer (KBA) came significantly closer to achieving its target of positive results in all business segments. At €607.5m, its order intake was up 33.2 percent year over year. The company believes that positive results in all business areas are within reach. President and CEO Claus Bolza-Schünemann stated, "Group profit before taxes of €6.9m in the second quarter led to an improvement in our EBT from –€17.7m after three months to –€10.8m mid-year. We are particularly pleased with the major improvements in earnings in Sheetfed and Digital and Web. Despite this half-time shortfall, with catching-up in mind we continue to target an EBT margin of up to 2 percent of sales for 2015."
