Rand Graphics, a print specialist in point-of-purchase applications based in Wichita, KS, will be adding a second KBA press—a new six-color, 41" KBA Rapida 105 press with coater, UV, and a plastics package—to its arsenal. The new press is due for delivery early fall of 2014.

Sun Chemical’s new SunLit Triumph Max commercial sheetfed inks are formulated for commercial sheetfed printers looking to increase productivity, improve print fidelity and meet strict sustainability requirements. The new inks use renewable resources and bio-based materials, and contain less than 2 percent in volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The newest drying technology from KBA North America provides significant advancements, benefits and savings for commercial and package printers. Called VariDry LED-UV, this low-energy system delivers a savings of up to 50 percent in power consumption and energy costs vs. conventional UV dryers.

DavCo Advertising has received its sixth Ryobi installation in the last 20 years, this time a four-color, 36" Ryobi 924 press with aqueous coater. The new press was installed in March at its 35,000-square-foot facility in Kinzers, PA, southeast of Lancaster.

Next month, Graphic Edge Printing and Packaging will become the first in the United States to install a 31" Ryobi 755XL-D Packaging Edition offset press. The new press will be among the spotlighted topics at the RYOBI MHI Open House May 7-8 in metro Atlanta.
