This year’s RMGT ELITE LED Users Group focused on the sustainability of LED print. Leading off the program was Gary Jones, director, environmental, health, and safety affairs at PRINTING United Alliance.
Offset Printing - UV/LED Curing
The primary driver in the move to UV printing is wanting to address new high-end commercial printing markets, and to increase the volume of work going through print operations. UV curing enhances the print quality, and produces sharper and cleaner images with a multitude of different finishes available.
Primary Color, a leading print provider in the horticultural market and for consumer product groups in the wine and spirits market, recently installed a five-color RMGT 9 Series press with UV curing.
Pioneer Press, a leading commercial printer in the greater Denver, CO, market is installing an eight-color RMGT 9 Series perfecting press with LED-UV curing in 2022.
“Koenig & Bauer has the widest portfolio in the market,” says Eric Frank, SVP of marketing and product management at Koenig & Bauer. This portfolio includes sheetfed offset presses, inkjet presses, flexographic presses, web presses, corrugated presses, direct-to-object printers, and a host of post-press equipment.
GEW is showcasing its full product range with an emphasis on the latest LeoLED UV curing systems, particularly for sheetfed offset applications. The company is also introducing customers to its new North American distributor, GMH UV.
IST will highlight its integrated LampCure technology in both the interdeck and end-of-press positions on the Heidelberg Speedmaster.
RMGT announces the ELITE LED Users Group meeting at PRINTING United. RMGT will also sponsor the “State of the Industry” presentation.
The patented XP Quatro Series will be featured as the latest evolution in a portfolio of high-speed LED-UV curing technologies.
With nearly 700 exhibitors, it might be hard to decide where to start in the PRINTING United Expo. Here’s a sampling of what to see.
