New EFI Fiery digital front ends (DFEs) have been released for Xerox’s newest digital presses.
Following the success of its Linoprint C751 and C901, Heidelberg will market their replacements: Linoprint CV and Linoprint CP.

EFI has introduced two EFI Fiery digital front ends (DFEs) for the new Xerox Versant 2100 press—the Xerox EX 2100 and EX-P 2100 Print Servers. "The introduction of EFI's new servers, coupled with the new Xerox Versant 2100 production color digital printer, could not be timed better to handle the exponential processing power required to correctly render complex design capabilities, such as transparency reveals and gradual shadow transitions," noted Marco Boer, vice president, IT Strategies.
A new iQueue 9 RIP workflow has been released by Xanté that has simplified the process for handling variable data printing, sequential numbering and Intelligent Mail barcodes. The Variable Data Manager allows users to import personalized data and generate print-ready digital files.
