MORTSEL, BELGIUM—Agfa Graphics announced that it plans to close down its printing plate factory in Manerbio, Italy. The Manerbio plant produces analog offset plates and negative CtCP plates, product lines that the manufacturer noted are in decline.
Agfa Graphics has informed employees at its printing plate factory in Manerbio, Italy, as well as the trade unions, that it intends to close down the factory impacting 123 employee positions. A redundancy plan will be developed for the employees that currently work in Manerbio.
With the launch of the new Agfa Pitman E-Store, customers can choose from thousands of different items from Agfa Pitman and its partners such as 3M, DuPont, Epson, HP and more. The new E-Store services customers in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

The Vatican has completed the installation of a Meteor DP8700 XL digital press within its in-plant production house (known as Tipografia Vaticana). The in-plant print's everything from magazines to brochures and all of the Vatican’s stationary and envelopes, as well as the weekly newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano.
