Primary Color, a digital and sheetfed offset print shop, is very excited about its new partnership with Agfa/Thieme and the purchase of a new M-Press Tiger. The press utilizes inkjet technology for four-color printing combined with an in-line silkscreen unit.
Agfa Graphics announced that Cowan Imaging Group of Edmonton, Alberta, has installed Canada’s first Agfa :Jeti 1224 HDC FTR UV printing system. The :Jeti 1224 HDC (High Definition Color) FTR inkjet printer features the widest color gamut and highest productivity in its class, demonstrating high definition, sharp fine text and photographic detail with bright intense colors.

Agfa Graphics announced that J-C Press of Owatonna, MN, has expanded its wide-format printing capabilities with the UV hybrid :Anapurna M4f from Agfa Graphics. The entry-level system is a 62˝ wide-format printer that provides J-C Press with high-quality POP displays, posters, exhibition panels, stage graphics, ad panels and more.

Wide- and grand-format printers really stood out around the show floor, with the size of some devices giving them the impression of being the new “heavy iron” in the industry. Even the new crop of inkjet presses for high-volume page production was overshadowed a bit by their wider brethren, as fewer vendors elected to bring machines to Chicago.
Agfa Graphics will immediately begin distributing the OKI pro510DW digital web press through both its e-commerce channel and its established sales force. Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating the OKI pro510DW in booth 1227 at GRAPH EXPO 2011.
