Last week, Allied Printing Services held a ceremony to mark the completion of a solar installation at its Manchester, Connecticut, facility. The ceremony was attended by elected officials, legislators, energy and utility officials, partners and employees. The 1.4 megawatt system, which is comprised of 4,591 panels atop Allied’s 275,000-square-foot facility, will provide about 17 percent of the company's total electricity usage.
In celebration of Earth Day, Allied Printing Services in Manchester, CT, is in the process of installing 4,591 solar panels on the roof of its 275,000-square-foot facility. This use of solar power will have the equivalent carbon offset effect of planting 27,000 acres of trees.
The Allied Printing Services Charitable Foundation will hold its eighth Annual Memorial Golf Tournament at Topstone Golf Course on both Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12. In light of the large volume of golfers at last year’s tournament, the company is expanding this year’s outing to two consecutive days of golfing, dining, and socializing.
