Ferndale, MI-based Allied Printing has been named the 2013 Company of the Year by the Ferndale Mayor’s Business Council. The honor was bestowed Feb. 20, by Ferndale Mayor Dave Coulter at the group’s annual mixer and awards presentation.

Paul Zimmer and Robert Straub are transitioning the 60-year-old business' ownership to Dave Bader, Margaret Fitzgerald, Elly Chichester, Tony Pelc, Jill Straub and Greg Balan over the rest of this decade.

BLOOMFIELD, CT—Finlay Printing, a $20 million commercial and specialty print provider, was set to close its doors after more than 135 years in business, the Hartford Courant reported. Its 55 employees were informed of the move late last week and the final jobs were being finished this week.
