Imagine! Print Solutions of Minneapolis, has strengthened its holdings with the acquisition of two Charlotte, NC-based providers of print and marketing solutions, including renown firm Classic Graphics. All combined, Imagine! Print Solutions will approach $300 million in annual sales.
MINNEAPOLIS—Imagine! Print Solutions has struck a deal for another Charlotte, NC, firm. Two weeks after announcing it had netted Classic Graphics, Imagine! has obtained Creative Marketing Solutions, which posted $20 million in revenues, according to the Minneapolis Business Journal.
Imagine! Print Solutions has acquired another North Carolina-based printing company in its second such deal this month. The most recent deal was for Charlotte-based Creative Marketing Solutions, which has about 33 employees and $20 million in revenues.
On Dec. 2, Imagine acquired a $70 million revenue firm called Classic Graphics, also based in Charlotte. The combined revenue of the three companies will approach $300 million, making it one of the largest printing companies in the country, according to a press release.
CHARLOTTE, NC—Imagine! Print Solutions of Minneapolis and Classic Graphics, based here, have merged, creating a commercial printing business approaching $280 million in annual sales. Terms of the deal were not released, but the firms will maintain their individual identities.

David C. Pitts, president of Charlotte, NC-based Classic Graphics, has been selected as the 53rd Walter E. Soderstrom Award recipient. “We are pleased to present this award to David Pitts,” said NAPL President and CEO Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. “His record of achievement and his willingness to share his knowledge with fellow printers singles him out as a very worthy recipient of NAPL’s highest honor for industry service.”

CHARLOTTE, NC—Classic Graphics, with locations here and in Raleigh, NC, has appointed James O’Rourke of Chattanooga, TN, as the company’s new Triangle Division president, effective Aug. 1. O’Rourke previously served as general manager of the Digital/Screen Division of the National Print Group in Chattanooga.
