Chosen from a nationwide pool of candidates, 25-year industry veteran James O'Rourke has been named division president at Classic Graphics for his proven record of accelerating sales growth.

In an effort to tackle a higher volume of jobs, Classic Graphics, based in Charlotte, NC, has added two new Océ VarioPrint 6200 TP digital monochrome printing systems. “Our print volume can vary based on factors that include legally mandated deadlines, special offers and unanticipated events,” said Shawn Underwood, manager, mailing services, Classic Graphics. “We needed a system that could really ramp up during those times.
Classic Graphics in Charlotte, NC, held a 30th-anniversary party in April, where current and former employees gathered to celebrate three decades of growth.
“Classic was dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century,” says president David Pitts. But, he adds, it paid off. “Companies that are purely printing companies are an endangered species. And if we didn’t have our special sauce to add, we would be just like that.”
The folks at Classic in Charlotte, NC, demonstrated that they know how to throw a party, as the employee-owned company celebrated its 30th anniversary on April 12 with a "Thirty Rocks" themed bash.
Charlotte, NC-based Classic ushered in its 30th year in business with a day-long celebration. Approximately 375 people attended the 'Thirty Rocks' event, including Classic employees, vendor partners and customers. The day consisted of a flashback to the 80's with a live performance by Strange Brew and a group of Classic employees stood as the Cover band, showing off their musical talents.

Classic Graphics, Charlotte, NC, is one of the largest commercial printers in the city. It recently purchased a Rollem Jetstream to produce price cards for a large retail store. The Jetstream takes a 16-up sheet of cards, applies two-sided tape strips followed by XY cuts converting the sheet into four streams of finished products.
