Revenue for the quarter was $251.6 million, down 15% compared to the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis revenue increased 11.4% compared to the first quarter of 2009 and operating income and earnings per share also improved significantly.

Consolidated Graphics (CGX), based here, announced that its St. Louis-based Nies/Artcraft subsidiary has acquired certain assets of The Kohler Print Group and Pinnacle Press, which is also headquartered in St. Louis. Following the completion of the transaction, Nies/Artcraft will do business as Nies/Kohler. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Consolidated Graphics, Inc. reported revenue for the June quarter was $225.9 million, down 21% compared to the same quarter last year. Operating income declined to $.9 million in the June quarter compared to $20.0 million last year due to the lower revenues and a more difficult operating environment.
